EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE COURSES BASED ON THE COMMUNITY OF INQUIRY MODEL

چکیده

The purpose of the study, in order to improve courses presented online environments based on Community Inquiry, is investigate relations among Inquiry’ presences (teaching, social and cognitive), learners’ characteristics (e.g. gender, age, occupational status, type registered program), ”e-readiness expectations”, satisfaction by using structural equation model. study group consisted 714 students enrolled distance education programs. Three data collection tools were used collect data. findings revealed that “the presence was at a moderate level, teaching had significant positive effect cognitive presence, level did not vary variables demographic discipline, e-presence expectation levels low impact levels, significantly high satisfaction.” also indicated examined this found be sufficient forming community inquiry. However, it certain aspects should improved. Therefore, could concluded there need for more social, active engaging learning activities enable think critically an environment.
